Brother Knights,

Let's see is it Brother Scoutmaster Chef or Chef Brother Scoutmaster? Anyway, Scout Troop #464, which our Council sponsors, held a pancake preakfast to raise funds to help offset the cost of summer camp and Brother Knight Brian Ulmen manned the griddle while the Scouts served the breakfast.
Thank you Highland Ties, LLC for the great job on the K of C Hall floors. It has been a while since the floor in the main hall has been stripped and waxed and some of us wondered if it could ever look good again. Well, by the time the janitorial division of Highland Ties was through with it, it looked almost new! If anyone has need for services like this, we recommend them very highly. (Contact Highland Ties at (520) 459-2990 or visit thier website www.highlandties.com).
Brother Knights,
I would like to take this occasion to introduce myself and to request your assistance. My name is Deacon Bruce Bennett and I am the Grand Knight of Council 3121 in Chandler. When Pat took over the office of State Deputy, he called and asked if I would be the chairman for the Fr. McGivney Guild for the state. I gladly accepted the challenge. This is the first opportunity I have had to sit down and compose a message to my brother grand knights to talk about how you can help the guild increase its membership.
Read more...The Be Not Afraid campaign is to encourage recruitment of new Knights. The campaign runs between 1 December 2011 and 29 June 2012. Every brother who recruits a new Knight will receive a medal of the Blessed John Paul II. A brother who recruits 4 new members will receive a limited edition issue of the Blessed John Paul II medal with a display stand. So, now when you recruit a new brother (and we have one of the best records of recruiting in the diocese) you will be recognized. For more information, please contact either the GK or Brother Abe Gatman, our Membership Chairman.

The Gala will honor the Knights of Columbus of the Diocese of Tucson for the Knights' years of service in support of the priests, parishes and Catholic ministries throughout the diocese. Our Council should be represented at the Gala. Please let the Grand Knight know if you are interested not later than March 2nd. More information will be published on the website, in the KnightTime, and at the meetings.
Many thanks to the Knights and their family members who have been helping with table and chair set-up in the hall. The hall is rented out for many banquets, dinners and parties this time of year and the extra effort you have put forth is much appreciated. Our Council accomplishes many good works and this is just one ways the Council raises funds to support its charitable programs.
