On December 19, 2011 K of C Council 4584 of Sierra Vista, AZ had their annual Children’s Christmas Party for the less fortunate.  There were stuffed animals provided for by the Widowed Support Group and Santa came with candy canes for everyone. 

The children eagerly sat on his lap.  Punch and cookies were served along with coffee for the parents.  The children managed to destroy two piñatas and the teens from St. Andrews Catholic Parish flooded the floor with candy as each piñata burst open.  The party ended with a drawing for Wal-mart gift certificates. Santa’s helpers included Leo and Mary O’Brien, Lloyd and Nancy Crites, Santa’s wife Heather Ulmen, George Gehris, Charlie Carbajal and his wife Catalina, Larry Carter, Roger Townsend, Mike Hemesath, Octavio Peraza, Richard Rivera and the St. Andrews Youth Teen Group, Larry Powers, Abe Gatmen, John Goodman, Stan Garner, Jim (Scotty) Scott and John and Lily Hagen.  Santa was played by Bryan Ulmen.
It was attended by about 250 children and 100 parents who all had a wonderful time.
